I agree with Chicagoland. It definitely sounds like an amusement park.

Isn't that the northwest panhandle, like Pensacola, Panama City, Destin, etc.?

Shreveport La, Texarkana Ar/Tx and Longview/Marshall Tx make up a region known as the Ark-La-Tex. Monroe, La, Vicksburg, Ms and SE Ark make up the Ark-La-Miss. Alexandria, La and Ft. Polk, La make up Cenla. Amazing so many regional names could be extracted from state names

I like that Minneapolis-St. Paul is called the Twin Cities. Pretty unique (there may be other twinned cities but they won't be THE Twin Cities) and not a silly combination of names (Kentuckiana??Arklatex??) or boring.

I can't believe I forgot to post this the first time. The Youngstown area is still known locally as the Steel Valley or the Mahoning Valley. (Mahoning Valley because that's the name of the river)
