I see, this thread was created as yet another excuse for why you can whine and moan yet again on why you don't think Houston and Dallas are comparable to Philadelphia in size since you don't like the fact that they have a similar amount of people, just more spread out on more square miles.

The two cities (Dallas and Philadelphia) have a lot of major differences and are not really that comparable in terms of layout. They're set up differently. Philly was mainly built up in a different era than Dallas was.

Also, another difference between the two is the number of Super Bowl trophies.

And Dallas tends to build statues for real life sports heroes, not for Rocky Balboa.

There is one way in which Dallas is orders of magnitude larger than Philadelphia: civic ego.

Nobody cares anymore!

Sunbelt cities are large, sprawled out and suburban! Why must you continue to ***** about it! We get it and it's dead! Move on with your life and quit stressing over dump crap like this.

Your repetitive threads aren't contributing or bringing anything new to this website and your just wanting to complain and whine about something that is clearly obvious and has been discussed too damn much. We all know Philadelphia is a bigger and more urban area.

Comparing cities like Dallas and Philadelphia is like comparing apples and oranges. Comparing Sunbelt cites to other American cities(especially Northeastern cities) can be very misleading. Cities like Houston, Phoenix, etc. have constantly expanded their city limits to annexed nearby suburbs to increase tax revenue and population. That why cities like Houston have over 600 sq. miles. If Philly city limits were 600 sq. miles than its population would be close to 4 million! So comparing cities like Dallas and Philadelphia when it comes to population stats is misinforming in ways. It is important for people to remember that city proper population can sometimes be misleading and not give an accurate account to a city's true size and scope of influence in its area.
