That is not a fair question. Jersey is in the North and
Georgia is in the South. Can not even compare the two, if had to because I am from the South. Georgia.

Im basically saying that there are alot of city's that are 10 miles or 10 minutes ,whatever, to another state. I dont see why that constantly has to be shoved down ones throat. You dont hear abouth south carolina bragging about being ten minutes from charlotte, or whatever else example is out there
Because that's -9million mouths to feed. NYC does not have the infrastructure within the city proper to sustain itself w/o a metro (most cities on the planet can't). You need ports/greenland etc.

Additionally, people in the Charlotte metro (SC) DO associate w/ Charlotte I have family in SC and NC

Atlanta is in Georgia. Thus when you post about Georgia in a VS thread, you have full license to mention Atlanta, Macon, Savannah

New Jersey is near NYC and Philly. It shouldnt matter if they were 5 feet from New jersey, they are not within the state of New Jersey.

This is a state vs state thread. If jersey cant compete by itself than just respectfully bow out. Not " we can compete because we happen to know these two really awesome states"

Course it does (has several) but the ones in NJ handle nearly all the metro area port traffic (mostly b/c of size/capacity)

Additionally, one of the OP's criteria was 'economy'. Any person knows that NYC's economy does affect NJ's. People should stop making their own rules for what a comparison should be in other people's threads, and start their own thread that meet their own guidelines.

Not quite (unless NY was smaller) for the population level of NYC that would require far more than those alone.
