Yeah man. All that UGK, Eightball & MJG, Arrested Development, Outkast, Goodie Mob, EARLY 3 6 mafia, Ghetto Mafia, Scarface and the Geto Boys type southern rap from the 90s was cartoonish . lol You must first started listening to southern rap when Master P and No Limit or Cash Money came out.

Yup... you already know. The whole YBB roster was crack... Mac Mall, Dubee, Ray Luv and the M-A-C to the D-R-E with Khayree on the boards. Sic Wid It was the **** back then too with The Click. Its sad that they only known in the bay cause the bay was making the best music.

Why you dissin No Limit? back in the day when Master P was in Richmond, No Limit was the ****. Fiend, Lil Ric, Mystikal, Mac, Soulja Slimm... they had a lot of good albums.

And add Trinity Garden Cartel, SUC and PKO to that list

Yea I know that but they still aint known like they should be. Seagram was on Rap A Lot and Frisco was collaboratin with KC (Rich Da Factor, Bhon, Deco D, etc.) but Mac Dre shoulda been doin big numbers in the 90's.

The bay's one of the only areas in the country where damn near every region of it got its own rap scene. EPA & San Mateo held it down for the peninsula, SJ for the south, Vallejo for the north, Oakland, Richmond and Pittsburg for the east and Frisco for the west. The bay is its own subgenre separate from the general "west coast rap" label.
