A lot of people don't know that Charlotte actually has pretty substantial swingers and high-end escort scenes. That really belies our "squeaky clean" image.

I live in a city/county that has 20% of its residents living in colonias, by latest census count, where the average household income is only about $5000 a year. Many of these dwellings lack running water.

I don't know about dirtiest, but Kirby Drive, a major thoroughfare in Houston, is named after John Henry Kirby, who became rich in the lumber industry but was also a white supremacist.

We constantly hear "how can you call yourself the NY of the South?" or "well, in NY we did it _____________" on a constant basis. Nobody that lives here ever says that we are anything remotely like NY, but we are constantly acussed of such.

The constant accusations of this and the never-ending comparisons get old, very quickly. Get it now?

There's a brothel of quadriplegic prostitutes from various third world countries that we hide in the basement behind a false wall, but we do monthly checkups so they're actually not that dirty.

It doesn't effect me.

This is an open forum, a question was posed, and I threw my 2 cents in. In my opinion, Atlanta's dirty little secret (to outsiders) is that we don't want to be NY. Pretty simple, actually.

I also respect and admire tahiti, so I wanted her to be clear on where I was coming from.
