I remember when there was news to turn the Reunion Arena into Billy Bob's honky tonk and let's just say that this was met with displeasure from a big portion of the Dallas residents. I bet he wouldn't get that same displeasure if it was in Fort Worth.

Hey, we already have the World's Largest ****** Tonk.
And to be fair, we do have a couple people who've made some mark on pop culture from this side of the Metroplex.
Kelly Clarkson, and that "My Life as Liz" girl (who's cute as hell, BTW).
Both from Burleson..... good for them.

Well I said it has no shame in it's history a few posts ago. I never said it was a Cowboy or cattle town. But you'll get that Texas vibe they won't more in Fort Worth than you would in Dallas.
Whether it's fake or not really does not matter.

Dallas is trying to convince the world that we are not a Texas city? Well I guess we certainly have done a poor job by pulling out all the stops to get the Texas State Fair and Texas Centennial Celebration (which F_rt Worth lost), Texas Sesquicentennial Celebration and TX-OU game. Oh and we adore this guy:

I for one don't like the Texas sterotype either. I would like Fort Worth to be viewed as a modern city that acknowledges its history. ESPN supposely will not make the superbowl a cowboy theme. If they do I will be highly pissed off. Its more to the city and metro than that.
