Just like Psychedelic Music or Heavy Metal is a bunch of noise too right?

You sound like my mom now.

Trance can be beautiful, it can be scary, it can evoke emotion. Open your mind a little...Trance incorporates all of those instruments you play.

Minneapolis had a big electronica/rave scene in the '90s but it has died off since then. The big things here now are underground hip hop and musicians who play instruments.

Answer: There is none.

I highly suggest you give Henry Chow from Houston a listen if you're into true UK Techno. He doesn't disappoint.

Maybe you're confusing EDM as a whole genre with Techno specifically? When I think Techno I automatically think of artists like Carl Cox & Joey Beltram.
Thats not the arguement. Henry Chow is good. But I question to what degree he is known internationally. Its hard to say who is known internationally. I can name random DJ's and then claim they are known internationally.

It seems like we may be splitting hairs. A lot of this music walks a fine line between Trance, EDM, etc. You have always argued that Dallas had the better EDM, Techno, Trance, electronica scene? What changed your mind?

Not to say Houston doesnt have some talented local artists, but Dallas is the clear winner on the genre as a whole.

The whole scene here seems more bonded with the city.
