Thats cool. California is great, scratch that, Southern California is great. I'd love it too. And especially given the western US. Denver, Seattle, Tucson, & San Diego are my all time four favorite cities. I like nature, and natural surrounding a lot. And to be frank, I don't like the lifestyle most on here do, the "big city, walk everywhere" lifestyle is just something I am not fond of. Cars, lots of space inside house, lots of space in the yard, and things being close enough to access, is ideal for me.

Everything else, comes afterwards. (Behind those four)
I agree exactly with you! Personally I prefer SoCal too.

Like I've said in other threads it seems like 95% of the people on this site hate any city that isn't dense, rich, and walkable. For me, it's not about how dense it is. I don't really care to be honest. I don't care about the skyline either. I like driving everywhere because I can go where I want and am not limited to where the trains will take me. I am an outdoorsy person too. I LOVE the ocean more specifically, the Southern California coastline. I love how we have mountains and desert a short distance away too.

I live in San Diego. Yes, CA is different a bit then what you see on TV. But I would hardly say it's overatted. There is just so much all together in CA. Population is actually expected to rise in California by 20 million between 2030-2050. Despite the state problems people still want to live here. I honestly can't blame them either. I am born in California but have lived in quite a few other states. I always missed California, everywhere else really is just not enough. Plus the natural sorrounding of California is just beautiful. Every terrain type in the US can be found here.Texas literally is a flat wasteland.

@TexasDaBestdude, were not going to turn this thread into a street life comparison. Los Angeles still has more gangs then anyother US city, as for the world I think it's pretty high on that list too. So in that regard we still win.
