LOL WestbankNOLA? I feel a great affinity with our Louisiana neighbors and all. And hope one of these days you and me can get together and fish and drink some co 'beer!
I like the Louisiana flag as well. It ranks on my list, far as that goes. But sorry, my friend, I just somehow wonder if that dad-gum pelican ain't gonna leap out and start biting and snapping in all directions! It might go crazy as hell, reckon?
1. Texas (wonder why? )
2. North Carolina
3. Mississippi
4. Alabama
5. South Carolina/Louisiana (tie)

You're a sucker for navy blue, but no South Carolina?
And personally, I think flags with simple seals on them are about as unoriginal as it gets.

I'm a Canuk so my answer is unbiased I think. I really love the look the colour and the symbols on the Indiana state flag.

The original version of it will give you that impression.
vs.
They've changed it so many times that I lose count.
The official one is now this (except this one is missing the blood).

South Carolina's is nice, but a little simple for me. I like the moon but I hate palm trees, too. For me it's about what's IN the seal. There are plenty of examples of terrible ones. I really like Nebraska's seal, and it usually is very large on the flag. Coat of arms are awesome, especially PA's and MI's.
