This may seem like an unusual question, but I'm curious as which cities have the biggest car/motorcycle/hot-rod culture in them. So-Cal ones come to mind, but I don't really know of any else that stand out.

Just wanted to make sure that economy cars with ****ty-looking aftermarket trim don't count as "hot rods" before I comment.

That's pretty much what So-Cal is full of.
That and lifted 4x4's that never see a speck of dirt due to their frooty-tooty operators.
But, I'm basically just a bicycle-user living on a auto-filled prairie.

I second that. Nowhere else have I found as many average joes to be obsessed with cars and customizing them than suburban Detroit. Sure there are people loaded with money who buy exoctic cars or custom cars in CA and FL and elsewhere, but not the average joes as much as in suburban Detroit.

In my hometown of Charlotte we have a sizeable hot rod culture due to the racing environment of this area. Btw, you have hot rods, muscle cars, and pocket rockets. The latter is what you see in the Fast and the Furious.
