Texas has plenty of biracial blacks.

The relevant difference between Houston and Miami here is that the former has a larger proportion of not only black Americans but sub-Saharan Africans as well.

Do you have proof of that statement about Miamiís black population?

Not really other than the statistics that show that Miami has a lot of immigrant or first generation blacks born outside of the continental United States. It just feels more Latin American there than a bonafided black American city. Houston does have a large sub saharan population in particular Nigerians, but it still feels a lot more like a Black American city than Miami does.

This country needs more PG County(s), that's the problem. DeKalb is the other, and some of the other counties around ATL, Charlotte etc, but we need 10/11 suburban majority black counties, that are economically viable. Like I'd love to see it, but the way the country is set up, we will never live to see it. Like even in metro DC, about PG county you hear so much pejorative rhetoric and criticism (some of it valid), that you understand people never really will respect it like they do Loudoun, Fairfax or MoCo. But as already stated, there aren't even many suburban jurisdictions nationwide that can even hold a majority black pop really.

Yeah it's wild; PG is looked down in metro DC more than DeKalb is in metro Atlanta. I think it's because DeKalb has Dunwoody/half of Perimeter, Emory, the CDC, and Decatur within its borders.

Interesting take on the evolution of PG County over time:

I consider black capitals to be places where blacks live , where money matters more than race

1) New York For Black America is Philadelphia and Dc combined

2) Los Angeles For Black America is Atlanta and Miami Combined
