no have you read any of the General US threads lately? lol

The reason why I made this thread was because basically the other thread was about Houston possibly passing up Chicago in population, not about which was a better city even though it sorta turned into that and than became a Dallas vs. Houston thread.

you made me search, and i guess this the 15+ PAGES long thread about Chicago/Houston that devolved into a Dallas/Houston discussion? if so, no, i didn't read it because

1) thread entirely too long, i lost interest
2) who cares?

I just though that since these two cities are compared alot and both have quite a few similarities, I want to do a poll.

elaborate please, anybody can sit here and make ridiculous comments. I can sit here and say that Tulsa is better than NYC, c'mon if you wanna give an opinion back it up a little. And dont think your stating the obvious, because your not. There isnt a comparison because they are two different cities. But ask those 187,000 people that decided to move to Houston just in the past year.

You Chicagoans on City Data are an interesting lot. I often see some of you trashing other cities for their urban problems, as if none exist in Chicago.

Yes, Houston has more air polllution or smog than Chicago, but Chicago has more particle pollution than Houston. So they are about even in terms of being polluted. In fact, Chicago is in the top 25 for both the most air pollution and particle pollution. Houston is only in the top 25 for air pollution. So technically Chicago is more polluted.
