You claim that a mast majority of areas couldn't claim that kind of history but, Georgia can and can beat Pennsylvania in that sense.

According to A Brief History of Coastal Georgia "The first European Settlement in the thirteen colonies was actually in Georgia in 1526. The settlement was called San Miguel de Gualdape . While its actual location is unknown, historians have placed this settlement at Port Royal located at the mouth of the Savannah River and St. Catherine's Sound."

The settlement may have not lasted but, Europeans first settle in Georgia in 1526 which means Georgia CAN claim that kind of history.

When it comes to diversity you can look at it two different ways

Pennsylvania has more ethnic diversity, especially among white people. You have Germans, Irish, Italians, Eastern Europeans, Jews and WASPs.

Georgia has more racial diversity. Georgia has more Hispanics, African Americans and an Asians (*Pennsylvania has a higher Asian population but Georgia has a higher percentage of the population.)

Oh, and Georgia has a great diversity of climates. The Sea Islands are subtropical, complete with palm trees and a very mild climate. And at the top of the state, you have the mountains, which are very temperate and have four distinct seasons. In fact, the highest elevations have fairly cold climates. At the highest peaks you can see snow up there for a large chunk of the winter.

Might I cash in, I am from Harrisburg Pennsylania. Pennsylvania has many more attractions. You can actually walk to city-island on a bridge in Harrisburg, can't do that in Atlanta or anywhere in Georgia. You can walk in parks feeling safe, again, can't do that in Atlanta. Maybe you can do that further down south in Savannah. There are more psychics and nature lovers in PA, a woman I met in Thomaston, Georgia said she'd kill a bobcat or a grasshopper if she saw it..
Georgia has a lot of diversity, no doubt.

Economy is better in PA. Also, it actually snows in PA. It never snows in Georgia, I bet there won't be snow this december.

In terms of quality, again, PA wins. People are nicer and there are less ghetto aeras in PA. There are even more millionaires there.

I've had to move to a small, nice, and rural town in Georgia named Senoia to have a garden. That is sad in my opinion. Most of the time only people in big houses and millionaires can have gardens in GA.

In PA, no matter what house (except if it's an apartment) there's some type of Garden.

GA has nicer costal aeras, I've been to St. Simons before and it is wonderful. Heck, I might even move down there to get farther away from Atlanta.

Overall, GA is a nice state-but PA is a nicer state due to Nature lovers, quality, and less ghetto people.

And that's my take.
