Wow, poor Chicago. Last one out, turn out the lights! Maybe things will improve a bit once they throw Mayor Daley out of office. If they elect Rahm, though, Chicago will probably be renamed Gary North.

Many of the smaller, "off the radar" metros did quite well on this list. Good for Augusta and some of the others.

Of course it had a larger drop in raw numbers, because it had such a large number of jobs to begin with...

Did you notice that San Francisco/Oakland is only 3 spots higher than Chicago in percentage loss (-1.65% vs. -1.78% for Chicago). Does this mean SF is on it's way to being a ghost town as well?

Hey alright! Go Boston!

All we heard during the election season from the republicans was about all the job losses we're facing...then it turns out Boston's #2 for job gains in the country! Ha! Only beat out by the city which faces the lowest unsystematic risk!
