Grew up in Bayonne. Live in Rochester now. Like Rochester. I'm more of an outdoorsy type / recovering hippie, so the area suits me. I haven't been back to NJ since my parents left there, and I know a lot has changed, specifically in JC, but I can't see myself moving back.

I went for NJ for familiarity reasons. But all these cities check each other closely.

Rochester has like 8g more people than Yonkers. Why is everyone saying Yonkers is so big? I've never been to Yonkers, but I spent my entire life in Rochester and can say that Rochester is VERY small. So how can the less-populous Yonkers be considered huge? Are you guys talking in terms of it's physical size?

I don't think anybody is saying that Yonkers is "so big"
I was saying that I didn't know Yonkers was that big- I actually assumed Yonkers had a smaller population than Syracuse at first, I would of never imagined it having over 200K, and I've been to Yonkers many times. I just never really looked into it.

I'd choose Jersey. Great city living, access to NYC, and cheaper cost of living. Sounds good to me. I'd probably choose the burbs in Newark.

Are you sure about anywhere? Trenton and Camden I'm sure would be cheaper. Not that those are number one areas. Just sayin. Plus, I think Buffalo would be a nice area. I think Buffalo and Newark match up well.

I would live in Jersey City definitely. I go there a lot and familiar with some of the neighborhoods there.
