What cities across the country do you think have the most outdoor, in-ground swimming pools?

My guess is there are two primary factors here in determining how likely a city is to have homes with pools:

1) Homes with large property
2) Pool-appropriate weather year-round

With that in mind, I have eliminated Northeastern and Midwestern cities as they meet neither requirement, thus leaving the West and Sunbelt.

So in your travels, which cities do you find are most likely to have homes with pools?

Choices: Honolulu, Los Angeles, San Diego, Phoenix, Albuquerque, Austin, San Antonio, Houston, Dallas, Atlanta, Orlando, Tampa, Miami

What do you think?

P.S. Feel free to mention cities I may have forgotten!

My list:
- Miami (duhh, hot & humid)
- Houston (duhh, hot & humid)
- Phoenix
- Tucson
- Albuquerque
- Los Angeles
- San Diego
- Austin
- San Antonio

I took this picture yesterday at my house, after I saw this thread. Pictures tell better than words. This can give you a better idea of the pool situation in the "Sunbelt".

Taken from my bedroom:

I have a swimming pool (Infinity Pool) in my backyard and as you can see across the lake, my neighbor does too. And in my Subdivision, only 7 homes out of 29 don't have swimming pools.

Here is a picture of my pool/backyard from my formal living room:

Even in cooler areas you'll see a lot of pools. I saw a ton while flying over suburban Detroit.

While some homes in the Atlanta area have outdoor swimming pools, I'd say it's not common. Maybe one out of every 500 homes.

Yes but you notice pools a lot more from the air. You could be flying over anywhere and the pools that are there become a lot more visible. I always notice this when flying over Portland and I can tell you outdoor pools in Portland are not common at all.
