are you kidding me about spanish in the south.

there are some of the largest spanish populations in the south. the south is almost one third spanish.

Texas and Florida alone gives you 20 000 hispanics
lol you've got to be kidding. SoCal is super diverse and is getting more diverse every year.

SoCal definitley lacks on black culture compared to the east coast, for obvious reasons.

well there is a plethora of every other race here (SoCal) compared to most the south.

I said that the south was full of blacks and whites mostly and their is still backwards mentalities there. A LOT. Post whatever statistics you want. It's true. I mean Texas as an example wants to go back to the confederacy.

Default Okay I will comment on a lot of stuff

DANNY: I was in Boston and I realized that I was served the last at a restaurant even though I was one of the first ones there. Everyone at the restaurant was White except for my family and I. When we were served, we got a mean look from the waitress who in one instance just ignored us and unlike she did with the White families, she didn't ask us if we wanted water or anything.

If you are East Asian I imagine it won't be so bad for you.

ATLien: I actually expected more racism down here but have yet to receive much of it. The one I have received has been from people who are not from here but from other areas.

HTownLove: I don't have that high of an opinion of you but I do agree with your statement. California isn't really meant for Indians and Blacks, it is more so meant for Hispanics, Whites and in some cases Asians. But I am not going to rant about Cali, always wanted to live there but they don't like my type.

In general I find Hispanics in the south to be more Americanized and welcoming.

LOL Indian casinos fill up California, so you just have no clue what you are talking about. The 2nd largest population of Middle Eastern people is in Southern California

So you're saying that as an Asian person that I get looks and racist attacks on a daily basis?

Statistics don't matter and neither does the state of Texas. Doesn't make a difference to be honest, most people aren't living their daily lives to roam about the state of Texas.

The fact is that the city I live in has the 6th or 7th largest Asian population in America. That is true, the fact is that racism exists everywhere and that is true. And now just like how someone last month in the Los Angeles & Houston thread tried to tell me that my front yard has dead grass without ever having been. I am being told as AN ASIAN, that I encounter racist behavior.

When in reality I don't.

Eff the state of Texas and the hicks that run it, but the city of Houston (or Austin) for that matter aren't anything like whats being described here though.

There are 2.2 Million Hispanics in Houston. The ENTIRE city gets a bad rap for illegals and Mexicans and stuff all day long. And when its convenient, all of a sudden those Hispanics don't exist anymore?

And no, not all the Hispanics in Houston are "Mexican", it has the largest Central American populations in the South along with Miami.
