I highly doubt anybody from NYC would consider any other place a 6th borough, and rightfully so.

I've always kind of thought of Philly as an unofficial "6th borough". I know that would offend a lot of people, though (for obvious reasons), so I'd never say it outloud.

I'm in Philly and I don't hear anybody referring to Philly as the "6th borough" anymore even among New Yorkers who have moved here. It was all a fad of sorts and it's over. Good, because it should have never happened in the first place.
