Interestingly Philadelphia is whiter (if you don't count hispanics) than San Jose.

San Jose is 31.4% non-hispanic white, while Philly is 39.0%.

Median Income: Philadelphia $31k, San Jose $77k

Yeah I could care less about racial demographics. I just want San Joses or Suburban Philadlephias economic demographics.

Liboho90, have you been to Dt San Jose lately? Dt. SJ has 92,000 residences in its downtown area and is alot more organized and cleaner than Philly's Center City. Philly Center city still feel incomplete with its parking lots and some run-down areas like the Galleria area and near Murano Condo areas. Alot of vacancies was seen on Walnut/Chestnut St. area which are struggling. Heck, the Liberty tower Galleria is also stuggling with high vancancy. They built that 1776 Rittenhouse Sq. one unit per floor condo with heavy tax-incentive by Mayor Nutter. That building is a skinny highrise joke. San Jose destroys Philly. Hell, Philly downtown can't even compete with Dt San Diego which has way more retail and new highrise condos/hotels than Philly's Center City. I'd rather be in San Diego than Philly for sure.

Krudmonk, I said get over the inferiority shell, please and take a 3 day vacation. I don't live in San Jose. You live in San Jose. I'm just being honest and vouching for San Jose. I know what I observe when I visit cities. I'm very well traveled and know those cities thoroughly. Stop mocking me and stop calling me out, Krudman.

Dude Walnut Street is not struggling it has among the highest retail rental space per sq. ft. in the country. The area around the Gallery is a work in progress and is much more economically diverse.

Someone just paid $12.5 M dollars for the penthouse, an event that downtown San Jose will most likely never experience.

It's modesty, not inferiority. If that were the case, I wouldn't live here.
