Maryland dodged a bullet. Less than an inch of snow around here.

DC gets to live the LA Lifestyle for at least 2 or 3 moths out of the year, but LA never gets to experience the beautiful winters that DC gets on a year to year basis... That alone can be a huge down fall depending on the person and what he or she like as far as that goes, but Im afraid that when it come to weather DC gets to have the best of both Worlds and LA only gets to experience one half of that World!!!

WOW. Beautiful winters?!? Have you ever lived in DC? Have you stepped outside your house the past month? The winters here can be brutal!

^ I LOVE DC winters! Then again, I grew up in Minnesota, so winters without snow always felt a little off. DC winters were great in that they had snow, but don't usually too cold. For me, it was cold enough to feel like winter, warm enough that I could enjoy it. So for me, anyway, DC's winters are about as perfect as winters can get (well, perhaps without the power outages that accompanied the recent storms, but even despite all the inconveniences of major snow the Minnesotan in me still appreciates a good blizzard, and that much snow isn't typical in DC, anyway.) DC summers, on the other hand, were pretty miserable. Way too humid.

I've lived relatively close to both. D.C. was nicer in many ways, but something about the culture/attitude just drove me up a wall. L.A. wins by default just because it's tolerable.

The weather also factored in. In L.A. you can count on it cooling down at night. Even in the Inland Empire it cools down, dramatically so. Whereas in the long Washington summer, it's nothing but muggy all day and all night.
