If you guys are talking about a continuous city street with the same name inside the city limits, and not a highway, then it's really Colfax in Denver - 26 miles straight as an arrow.

Not within Toronto city limits. It runs North-South, Toronto proper is longer East-West, so within Toronto proper, streets like Eglinton and Steeles would be longer. Same goes for the metro, it stretches further East-West. Yonge Street used to be known as the longest street in the world, and stretches across the entire metro North-South. It lost the title of longest in the world since it got realigned and much of it is basically equivalent to State Highway, which runs all the way to Minnesota.

If you add up all the Peachtree Streets in the Atlanta area they have to add up to thousands of miles.

Poplar Avenue starts almost at the banks of the Mississippi River in Downtown Memphis, it cuts through the middle of the city, all the way out to the furthest suburb, and then continues on til the Tennessee River but by then, it's Highway 57.

Grand River Avenue in Detroit moves steadfastly through Michigan once it leaves the city. I'm not sure if part of it is now a highway or not.

It's not an interstate. This is what I know: I drove Grand River Avenue from downtown Detroit to East Lansing, Michigan. Although portions of it were not in a city, I found that entire length to be pretty much a developed road through suburbs, exurbs, and countryside. I don't know what happens to it as it goes west from East Lansing although I am curious if other posters would know.

I have also heard the title given to Figueroa in LA.
Figueroa is probably the longest in the city of LA. Maybe not the county or metro area. It's pretty long and it's urban nearly the entire distance.

Criteria:
It has to be a city street, not an expressway, highway, tollway, etc
This can be applied somewhat arbitrarily. Some LA area streets with highway designations (Hawthorne, Firestone, etc) are essentially the same as any other local boulevard. They are not limited access, grade separated, nor have any of the characteristics that I believe that you are associating with highways.

It has to be continuous, no gaps and reconnects even if if reconnects as the same name.
Sepulveda which has been mentioned a few times in this thread has a gap in Redondo....

Quote:
The street can change name (Westheimer Rd changes to Westeimer parkway in some parts) and may even change direction a little (zig zag), just as long as it is continuous.
...but Sepulveda does go from Redondo to Long Beach and then it changes names to Willow in Long Beach and then Katella in Orange County. Then Villa Park, Santiago Canyon, and finally Jamboree. Maybe 50 miles or so.

do you know how long of an uninterrupted stretch it is at the longest?

Instead of adding to the conversation and giving me the longest stretches California Sur kept acting like a spoiled child.

Are their any longer than Imperial??
