I had some time on my hands so I looked over a map of the US and posted most well-known and important cities. No hating, I just chose the cities I felt were best known and most larger ones. If your preference is not listed pls list as well. I chose for the poll to have multiple answers so you can choose multiple cities as well.

I voted for....

Seattle, WA
Portland, OR
Denver, CO
Austin, TX

All of these cities are scenic and have abundant parkland and nice topography. I love urban settings but I also need my elbow room without being super sprawly. I enjoy cities on a human scale that arn't too much of a rat race and have a nice walkable downtown. Under that criteria, these cities are the best.

Although I live near Boston, it really isn't one of my favorite cities in this country. I get why some people love it, its just too old, crowded, and dense for me and it doesn't have much contemporary architecture. I do however love the scenic shoreline and quaint historical commuinities of the suburban North Shore of Boston.
