LOL....

I was confused about that too.

Wait I just thought about something. We're all being silly here. I know that in Dallas-Fort Worth & Houston in many of the subdivisions you can pick if you want to customize your home and how to make them look. A&M if you want Southern Colonial, you just have to tell the home builders what you want and they'll build it for you. You can go and Southern your home up all you want without any restrictions in custom made neighborhoods!

Yeah I do have to admit though some of those "Southern Colonial" type homes look pretty cool. I never ventured to thinking about them before until this thread.

A&M, if this isn't enough for you, then I don't know what is outside of Atlanta. This is something that I mostly have seen in New Orleans & Houston, don't know about Atlanta on this.

Downtown Houston (Southeast End):

Sealy, TX (Suburb of Houston):

The Houston Heights (North of Downtown Houston):

Yes Houston has Palm Tree's also. But Los Angeles doesn't have that style of housing.

Let me know if these are, because I haven't any clue that Colonial Style Homes look like exactly. First time I've even heard of it.
Homes inside Inner Loop Houston:
Old Sugar Land, TX (Suburb of Houston):
I don't know what these style of homes are exactly, all are in Houston & Old Sugar Land, but they sure aren't any modern themed homes besides the last picture.
Yeah that it, not sure about the last one, but again I never Houston and Dallas dosen't have them but it's not common like Atlanta,
There's many neighborhoods full of them.

The variety is about the same, just a way different ratio of architectural styles. More Bricky? I won't say that? Atlanta has alot more wood and vinyl especially the tract homes.

Those pictures really didn't show much variety.

I love the home architecture and use of vinyl ITP of Atlanta. I never cared for it's use in a lot of the lower end suburban homes you'll see further out

As far as what A&M was saying, it seems that his preference is for the very current trends of homes. but it isn't "Atlanta style" as he's pointed out.
