It seems like the consensus of this thread is that San Diego > Las Vegas if $$$ is not an issue.
If you had the same NET income to spend on living costs in both cities (rent, food, gas, nightlife, etc.), is San Diego still worth the trade-off?
How would your answer change if I provided some more details?
- Mid 20's
- $3,900 Net Monthly Income (after retirement savings and taxes)
- Renting 1 bedroom / 1 bathroom apartment
- Timeframe for starting family and house purchase is ~4 years out
