Obviously it is my opinion. They are hot, however. And flat, however. And spread out. Do you dispute any of that? I didn't attack you personally, I was defending my opinion and you called me a preschooler. Pot meet kettle.

You defended your opinion in a shallow way that didn't care to show any kind of depth or reason. The same way a small child would. Many places get hot, New York City is flat and spread out. Do you dispute any of that?

New York is crammed together considering its massive population. There are towns in Montana that take up more space than Manhattan.

The Hills begin a little bit once you come over 290 driving west from Manor. I don't see how it's totally flat. But yes, this is true that is not affordable for most Austinites to live on the westside of the city. Does not change the fact that it has the best scenery in Texas as a major city. From a geologic point of view.

Regardless, it still has spread and in the past years has added considerable portions of land into its area.

DFW Int'l airport land mass is larger than the size of Manhattan just to give some perspective.

I think Raleigh is highly overrated... and yes, I grew up there and have been away for 10 years. To look at the Raleigh forum you would think the place is some sort of mecca. It is unbelievable. Yes, it has some pretty surroundings but it is all big box stores, malls, chain restaurants. I think they are trying to do some infill stuff downtown and diversify the area but it seems like most people are flocking to beige suburbia versus living in the city itself anyway. Aside from the universities, and some pretty scenery, what does the city itself really have as far as personality?

Another vote for Miami. Cost of living just doesn't match with salaries. Much of Dade County is soulless, however it has been glamorized in such instances as "Miami Vice".

By the way, I read some of your posts too and you are really the bitter one! You seem to hate everywhere in the US other than Pheonix!
