Last time I checked, Will Smith doesn't have an Oscar. Rakim is not from the hood but has more street cred than 99.9 percent of all these rappers. He's from Long Island almost an hour away from NYC. Melwood, you are the only person that thinks DC and Richmond sound a like. Nah, not in ya life.

Yea just check out some of my earlier videos that I posted which had NC and VA dudes sounding more mid atlantic than them

Iverson and Vick as well as Alonzo Mourning have that Mid Atlantic accent but it's not quite DC. They sound totally different from Richmond.

This is DC (Regina Hall)

DC (Taraji p. Henson) Watch her shout out DC "All day"

Timbaland has a strong southern accent and he's from va beach. People in NC have strong southern accents: listen to MJ talk when he first got into the league. People in NC talk with southern accents that sound real proper. DMV area accents: they sound southern, but not as southern as NC.

I don't know about those off brand NC dudes. But what I do know is that DC is nothing like you perceive it to be. We have too much of our own style going on that we don't have to be a NYC "hop on" like Philly or backwards like Bmore or country like your NC/SC dudes you keep d8ck riding.

I just posted about 5 videos with people who are from DC that have the DC accent and know the DC way of how we do things. All this other bamma stuff is irrelevant. You and Bajan (Melwood) are not qualified to speak about DC. BTW: Philly is slower than DC.
