LOL @ yahmean, that is so true. You are also correct about the beats.

Northeastern hip-hop tends to be more up-tempo while Southern beats are typically much slower, and dragged out a lot more. They sound nothing alike to me either.

That's the DC that I heard. Said joints about 5 times in the video and they said the entire word which is completely different than Southerners.

I doubt this guy is from DC. First, why is wearing a Yankee fitted? Second, he doesn't have the mannerisms, speech, or dress of your typical black Washingtonian. You're more likely to see dudes dressed like this.

And cats wearing these...

How it ATL music different from Memphis music? Crunk music did not start in ATL. It started in Memphis. There is a reason why most southern cats used to only listen to music from the south. It was because they could all relate to it unlike they could relate to northern Hip-hop.

I wear a Yankee fitted, I like NYC never had a problem with them.
along with my white sox, braves, nationals, orioles, and la fitteds.

but then again I'm not the stereotypical DC black native......

This video is classic Washington, DC bravado and hyperbole. "The Streets of PG County are currently more dangerous than Afghanistan." WTF?? PG County doesn't even have "streets." They have big "roads" like Central Avenue and Marlboro Pike. I don't think I've ever lived in a place where the locals boasted so much about how "tough" their city is. When I first moved here, a local told me that I'd be lucky if I made it six months without being robbed or stabbed. In his words, "Philly ain't no DC...y'all don't see the struggle we see down here." What's with these people?
