I like Philadelphia's skyline so much better. A slight edge to Boston for the nooks and crannies, little things like Acorn Street on Beacon Hill in Boston. So to summarize, for the panorama go with Philadelphia. For the close up shot go with Boston. I didn't vote because both cities offer different angles and perspectives of of photography that can not be summed up as one city over the other.
I think that is the best way to say it, and also why I didn´t vote either.

I love Boston as well but there are many little nooks all over Philly, here is one of my personal favorites, a friend lives on this street and within two blocks you leave the quiet enclave and maze to find the hustle and bustle of the busiest areas of the city. To me a lot of the fun of Cities like Philly and Boston are the exploration on foot and just stumbling upon the most amazing things

Even though NYC is between Boston and Philadelphia, I always feel right at home in Philly as if it were right up the street. There is a sibling/brotherly connection between the two cities, I don't think any city in the US could match for Boston quite like Philly can.

agreed and vice versa - as TMAC says, Philly was like Boston on a grid

Thanks everyone, this is actually for a project of mine. I've taken up a hobby since childhood for photography, I'm pretty damn terrible at it, but want to get better and no place better to start than our own country. Lots of places to choose from.
I was going to make a few other threads for a few other city match ups, however with these two, it seems rather close. Both offer brick stone type of roads, which are cool and photogenic, Philadelphia has the taller and more modern skyline, but Boston utilizes its waterfront more. So a shot from a boat of the skyline will go a long way, but probably about balanced with a shot from a rooftop of further out of the entire Philadelphia skyline at night with the nifty building lights.
I greatly appreciate everyone's suggestions and help, thank all of you very much.

Philadelphia City Hall
One of my favorite buldings I have ever seen and marvel at its dignified architecture is Philadelphia City Hall. However I find it hard to photograph as parts of the building are always obscured by the other tall buildings surrounding it. The clock tower on that building is awesome. Danny I challenge you to photograph Philadelphia city hall and capture all or most of its dimensions.
