NYC has one, but it's more like "restaurant month" because it always gets extended to longer periods of times.

Personally, I love that the Downtown one is during a time in winter were the businesses need the biggest boost.
what are some of your favorite places? how are the deals?

Oakland had its first restaurant week a couple of months ago:
Restaurant Week | OaklandCVB.com

I went to one place. It was good, they did mini portions over a few courses so we got to try a lot, including a rum flight.

What I didn't like, was the uneven pricing and participation, but there were some stellar places on the least. Next time, I'll have to hit one of the destination places. I ended up going somewhere I had been meaning to try.

San Francisco also has one that lasts for a couple of weeks:
San Francisco Dine About Town 2011

This year I didn't make it, but I have in the past. The deal are uniform, but the restaurants hate it. Some places are really small, and not laid out well to handle a big crowd.

All in all I think it is a great idea for every city. It would be fun to have theme weeks too: local ingredients, fusion, bbq, chinese... oh well. Maybe next year.

Well since NYC clearly has the best restaurants, I'm guessing NYC restaurant week is the best.

Philadelphia's Restaurant Week was back in January Center City District Restaurant Week: January 16-21 and 23-28, 2011 | OpenTable. The only other Restaurant Week I've been to is NYC's.
I'm more looking forward to Philly's Beer Week coming up
