Default Minnesota vs Iowa vs South Dakota

Hi everybody...which state do you think is the nicest to live between the three and what areas would you recommend. Looking for a state/area that has LOW crime, a community feel, lots of things to do and see, and has wonderful scenic views......Thanks.

I live in Minnesota, on the South Dakota border, and I'll go with Minnesota. It's the most progressive of the three states, with the largest economy and most things to do. Crime is low in MN. Plus, Minnesota has a diversity of scenery that can't be found in Iowa or South Dakota. In addition to the Great Plains, MN has the boreal forest and lakes to the north, temperate forest and lakes to the east. Plus, Minnesota has the Twin Cities area, a huge metropolis with all of the usual big city things like professional sports, fine dining, etc.

I was thinking the Mississippi or St. Croix River corridors, like Red Wing, La Crosse or in Iowa. If I were to live in SD I'd like to be near the Black Hills, which is beautiful!

SD is awesome.

Minnesota is a joke, politically. Tax-wise, MN is a rip-off. South Dakota is the promise land, and better winter.
