yankees, phillies, redsox, giants, jets, patriots, redskins (they have a big fanbase even tho they aren't doing well atm), knicks (look at the attendance, and thats with or without a decent squad), celtics, rangers, etc. etc.
we definitely have the better sports scene and fanbase.
Sports is more than professional. High-school/College:Football, Baseball, Track, Softball, Basketball, Tennis, Golf is big in all 3 states. These 3 states produce MOST of the marquee players that play for your popular franchises up North.

The Knicks sell A LOT, A LOT of tickets to suits who get seats for free from their company & spend most of the the game on their iphone while their client from arkantucky stuffs nachos in his face; just happy to get out of the hotel & "see the big city".
Well after a lot of thinking on this one and making a thread Miami vs Brooklyn to help me decide, I just have to go with Ca/Fl/Tx. Miami + La Jolla > Brooklyn + DC for my lifestyle.

- Dining Scene (Formal & High End) - Northeast. LA, SF and Miami lack along with the TX cities
- Restaurant/Food Scene (Casual and common) - Northeast, I like Italian
- Recreational Opportunities - California. TX and FL are too hot to be outside! I do not care about hiking, etc though
- Interesting places - Northeast, I like cities and am not big on beaches
- Economy (Health) - Northeast...... DC and NY are too strong
- Better Set of Cities (More unique set- cities as a whole not just one city over all others) - I see this as DC, Philly, Boston, Baltimore and Boston vs Miami, Dallas, Houston, LA, SF. The TX, FL, CA combo have more cities and depth but they are of lower quality IMHO.
- Parks - the only city in the triple threat state combo with good parks is SF. While GGP is nice, it is trounced by anything in NY. Also, DC, Philly and Boston can match SF on parks, if not exceed them.
- Scenery - California, but I don't care about scenery. I WANT CITIES!!!!
- Opportunity - The three state threat is cute but TX is the only threat. California and Florida have horrible jobs IMHO . I will go with the northeast on this one.
- Expenses - NE! What good are expenses without a good job? And don't get me started on FL
- Weather - LOL, Northeast by far for myself. Why? Tx and FL feel like saunas as soon as someone steps outside. I can't tolerate oppressive heat. Cali has good weather but at the end of the day I like snow in the winters. I realize this is opinion though
- Pace of life - Northeast. I like fast pace if life. The other states are too slow paced. Also. I despise a strong presence of beach culture. A slow pace of life rains on my parade.
- Sports Scene - Northeast. The combo of Philly, NY and Boston can't be touched for sports culture, bars, etc
- Whatever else you can think of..... Culture goes to northeast IMO

California forming a Voltron? That's Northeast "we need to compensate by banding together" territory. Oh well. Since this thread exists, here goes:
- Dining Scene (Formal & High End) -Northeast has slightly more options
- Restaurant/Food Scene (Casual and common) -CA/TX/FL, easily. California alone produces half our nation's produce. Throw in Texas and Florida and it's a bloodbath.
- Recreational Opportunities - CA/TX/FL. There's a reason why these states DOMINATE when it comes to producing top tier pro athletes.
- Interesting places - CA/TX/FL. California alone rivals most nation's in geographic diversity.
- Economy (Health) -CA/TX/FL. These states don't need cronyism and trillion dollar bank bailouts to stay afloat. Boston is an economic gem though.
- Better Set of Cities (More unique set- cities as a whole not just one city over all others)CA/TX/FL. Really a pick 'em but Los Angeles, San Francisco, Houston, Miami, Dallas, and San Diego edge out the Big 4 in the Northeast IMO.

- Scenery - CA/TX/FL. Again, no brainer.
- Opportunity - CA/TX/FL. Far more diverse opportunities from tech, finance, energy, entertainment, aerospace, etc. The Northeast is more heavily weighted towards politics and finance.

- Weather - CA/TX/FL.
- Pace of life - CA/TX/FL. Work to live, don't live to work IMO.
- Sports Scene - Northeast. More passionate fans overall. Provincialism is high there.
- Overall - CA/TX/ FL, decisively.

Not really. California is an officially recognized state. "BosWash" is an obscure nickname for a region of states that individually would get tossed around like a rag doll by California. THAT'S a Voltron. How sad is that btw? You guys had all the advantages that come with being colonized first, yet here you are, banding together like Power Rangers to take one one of the younger states in the union. How sad. You should be grateful the Pilgrims didn't land here first. The Northeast would be protected parkland right now.
