This is by far a more fair comparison. The entire Northeast (by US Census Definitions) + MD, DC, VA, & WV against CA, TX, FL.

Criteria:
- Dining Scene (Formal & High End)
- Restaurant/Food Scene (Casual and common)
- Recreational Opportunities
- Interesting places
- Economy (Health)
- Better Set of Cities (More unique set- cities as a whole not just one city over all others)
- Parks
- Scenery
- Opportunity
- Expenses
- Weather
- Pace of life
- Sports Scene
- Whatever else you can think of

Be civil.

Warm against cold

I'll take the NE but love CA and FL, and am very respectful of the pro business attitude in TX

Alright I think we need to better define the Northeast if this is going to work: Pittsburgh, Eerie, Rochester, and Buffalo included in NE what about Vermont, NH, and Maine? Or are we talking only the NE Corridor along the coast?

No the entire Northeast by the US Census definitions and MD, WV, DC, & VA included too (they count as the South by the US Census). So yes, everything from Maine down to Virginia.

- Dining Scene (Formal & High End) Northeast
- Restaurant/Food Scene (Casual and common) Northeast
- Recreational Opportunities CA TX FL
- Interesting places CATXFL
- Economy (Health) Northeast (long term trends)
- Better Set of Cities (More unique set- cities as a whole not just one city over all others) Unique, CATXFL
- Parks CATXFL
- Scenery CATXFL
- Opportunity Northeast
- Expenses TX FL are fairly cheap, NE/CA no
- Weather CATXFL
- Pace of life Northeast
- Sports Scene Northeast

Overall I would pick CATXFL for nature/variety/climates... Northeast for about everything man made.

I really don't. Its pretty much NYC + DC vs Miami + San Diego to me and then just considering all the other stuff in the given places. I could really care less about most of the other cities. Might give a small nod to some of the small coastal towns in Cali and Napa Valley but I also could give a nod to my homestate of NJ and the area by Princeton where I was born or upstate NY by Ithaca and Geneva.
