What are some counties that you know of with similar names that are very different from each other? I'll give you an example...

Fayette County, PA and Fayette County, GA.

Fayette County, PA is basically the sticks. Somehow it's part of the Pittsburgh MSA, but that's only because of all the people who commute to jobs in neighboring Westmoreland County. They have to commute to those jobs because there are none in Fayette County. It leads the state in total crimes committed per capita, and there's a huge meth problem as well. The picturesque scenery might fool some people into believing that it's a wonderful place, but instead it's very economically depressed, and there's not much hope for it.

Fayette County, GA, on the other hand, is "Pleasantville." It's sort of a bubble among Atlanta's southern suburbs because it's off the beaten path, and it's not looking too worn like many other nearby suburbs. A lot of pilots for Delta Airlines live there, so the average income is very high, and it's attracted more high-income residents in turn. Peachtree City in particular is like a country club without the golf course. Most people there own electric carts, and there's a series of cart paths all over the town. I'm guessing it's a planned community. All in all, it's a very upscale place.

Another example is Fulton County, PA and Fulton County, GA. Let's just put it this way: for every person who lives in Fulton County, PA, there are almost 100 who live in Fulton County, GA.

So what are some counties you can think of with similar names and different vibes?

PA, MD, TX, OH

They're also a continent apart! (Ha ha, I made a funny!)

Isn't Kings County, CA where that chicken farm is just off I-5 that hits you with a wall of chicken poop stench every time you drive by it?

Montgomery County, NY is an odd one out of this bunch, it's rural rust belt stuck between Schenectady and Utica. It gets props for being named for a Tory and getting renamed after the Revolution though, seems most places didn't bother, surprisingly.

Prince Georges, MD and Prince George, VA. Prince George VA is practically rural and Prince Georges isn't.

Santa Cruz Co, AZ and Santa Cruz Co, CA.

Ones right next to the border, the other one gets smacked by the ocean.

One is where 70 yr old dudes ride beach cruisers down the street with a holstered M1911 in plain view.
The other is where 20 yr old dudes ride fixed-gear bicycles down the street with glow sticks on the chopped riser bars.

I think some of you might see where this is already going.
