i said you could add other criteria. that's all i could think of at the moment

i thought people would pick one or two at most for the nightlife, shopping and job market categories.

What kind of "South" are we talking about here? There's like 10 different versions of it.
FL, NC, and GA are all undeniably in the south. Texas is argued about, but i consider it south. I'm not talking about culturally southern like many people on here argue about. I'm talking about cities located in the south. I'm only asking about southern cities because I always want to stay in the south. I've considered all of the chooses before (except Dallas, i've considered Fort Worth though). But i can't choose which one I'd ever want to live in since so many residents talk thrash about each one in their forums, with the exception of the Fort Worth forum.

Ugh, I wish that were true since the idea of a replica Bavarian village in the beautiful surroundings of the North Georgia mountains would be awesome. Unfortunately it's more like a sad carny version of a Bavarian town made by some guy named Jim Bob who saw are real one back in WWII....and thought it would be cool to add tons of funnel cake stores and river tubing companies.

On the other hand I love funnel cake and once while up there I got lit off of PBR and went tubing on this beautiful cloudless day in late summer. That day was pretty awesome actually. There must be a lesson somewhere in that: Always be drunk when you are in Helen, GA so you can enjoy it.

So why even bring it up? It's almost as if y'all are looking to strike up that debate again. Everyone has their opinions on what they feel is the South and they aren't letting it go. There's nothing left of that dead horse to beat.

Just for the purposes of this thread, Atlanta is NOT the South to me
