I think DC is right about new infrastructures improvements, they invest for the future.DC area could become the most modern metro in the US.

From what I understand, if the federal government shuts down, the government of DC shuts down as well. I believe that the bill in question would allow the government of DC to continue running by using local taxes that have been accumalated, instead of relying on the coffers of the federal government. Because otherwise, DC itself would be completly shutdown as well. A DC congresswoman is proposing this.
