Houston easily. More diversity, more culture, and the same, if not more entertainment. Atlanta looks more pleasing to the eye from the freeways though, but that is it.

Houston also has a theater district that is second to NYC. Literally half the crime, too.

I like Atlanta, my sister lived there for several years. But Houston is in Texas and that is a different state of mind - so I vote Houston (and I'm from Dallas - but I have lived in Houston).

Texas is a special place which most people from the outside don't understand. Isn't it great to find someplace unique in the world?

atlanta isn't even comparison. I mean it's not even half the size of houston in population. smaller downtown, no good things to do, resturants not many. crime very high, some parts get very slumy.
