I like the Georgetown pics the best Is that the most touristy part of the metro besides the historic govt. buildings?

DC is a very beautiful city - I remember wandering around many of the areas you posted on my trip there and thinking "Wow, this isn't what I was expecting". I could easily live there.

East Nashville, specifically Edgehill, East End, and Lockeland Springs, has a nice collection of historic homes, unique and quirky shops, bars and restaurants, and a bit of an artsy vibe.

West End/Midtown is more built up with offices, hotels, condos, and churches, and hospitals. Vanderbilt University and Centennial Park are major features in this area. It has more of a college and professional vibe. Not as artsy or unique as EN, but with enough of its own local character.

Both ends are starkly different from each other...not sure which I like better.

Yeah Georgetown is Def. one of the hot spots and one of my favs, but the most Touristy would actually have to go to the National Mall down by the Monuments and museums though . In the summer I go to GT like every other day. Some people just use GT for shopping, but I go their to shop, enjoy the scenery, and the energy. Sometimes I even just go there to walk around. I'de go to Chipotle and get me a Burrito, then walk down by the water and sit on the edge while I enjoy my meal, the view, and at the same time throw rice to the fishes while doing so lol. Its very refreshing IMHO.

Yeah I know what you mean. a lot of people get caught off guard when they come here because they usually think it's gonna be 100% Govt like. From the Layout of the City to its Vibrancy, feel and, energy Washington is an all around City that packs a big punch and thats without including all of the Govt stuff Downtown. When people actually come here for a visit they get to see with there own eyes how beautiful this City is and there perspectives usually changes. Im glad enjoyed your visit here my fellow American

For my city, it is the North Church Street section of downtown Charlotte's 4th Ward neighborhood.

450 north church street - Google Maps

My second favorite is the Garden District Drive section of downtown Charlotte's 1st Ward neighborhood.

726 Garden District Drive, Charlotte, NC - Google Maps

If the entire city looked like this; it would be PERFECT!!! At least things are headed in the right direction in center city though.

Why am I not surprised LOL... Adams Morgan is the Mecca for Drink specials in DC. Every week there seems to be a new deal going on and a lot of them are some of the oddest deals you've ever heard like the one you just mentioned lol.
