Most Americans dont know New England exists. That somehow the continent falls off east of New York.

Let alone where and what it is.

True. To most American's anything North of metro NYC might as well be an arctic wilderness.

A great show about New Englanders written and starring New Englanders. Providence is an amazing city.

I was told faceitiously the other day, New England wasn't part of America.

Of course it was by a Californian, and the farthest most Californians have travelled is Las Vegas.

The farthest most East Coasters have traveled is DC and if they're adventurous Chicago. What's your point?

Philly trumps Boston because:
Lower cost of Living
Milder Climate
closer to warmer waters
close to AC
close to NYC
closer to DC
closer to Bmore
closer to the Chesapeak Bay
more diverse
Better preserved(look at Boston's City Hall)
Better Skyline
Grittier
Less yuppies
More Productive Port
More diverse economy
and I could go on....

The only thing Boston has on Philly is seafood, colleges(by a little bit), and a waterfront

I think diversity is a draw between both Philadelphia & Boston. If requested though, I can look into and post the information if anyone wants.
