What are some cities that you have visited that you loved, meaning the urbanscape, architecture, vibe, culture, etc., but the citizens of that town ruin it because they behave/act in a certain way. This can be because of rudeness, political leanings, cultural differences, etc.

For example someone who is ultra conservative might love the city of San Francisco, but could never live there because the ultra liberal people ruin it for them. Catch my drift?

For me I would say Madrid, Spain. I absoultely loved the city everything about it, except the people. I can handle cold and unfriendly people (ie. Boston) but here it was so bad. People were extremely rude everywhere. As much as I loved the city, I really wanted to leave ASAP because I could not stand the people anymore!

The people make a city what it is...so I'm not sure I could 'love' a city despite the people. And I've found fun, cool, and nice people in almost every city I've been to.

I think this would go more along the lines of cities I love to visit, but wouldn't choose to live in.

San Francisco, Boston, and Seattle are all good examples.

I think I would love San Francisco if the people were more like Los Angeles.
