Why does it seem funny to me that there are 11 billionaires in Vegas? I know they are probably not gambling, but I can't think of a worse place for a billionaire to be than in a city that is notorious for taking people's money! They must be the casino owners or something...

Cuz a lot of the fatcats who own the industrial complexes in Houston live in Dallas.

At least that's what makes sense to me.

DC's number is so low for it being a "rich" place.

St. Louis has two but a case could really be made for the Lauries and Kroenkes could be added. Stan Kroenkes office is in St. Louis so I doubt he commutes from Columbia, mo every day. Pretty cool comparison though.

Also notably absent is the Busch Family worth an estimate $3 Billion.

Politicians are not a big segment of the population to effect the stats. The truth with DC is it has high median household income and "richest counties based on median income" because most of the government jobs pay middle class wages (50k-150k), but they will never make people billionaires.
