What major city do you think has the best balance of nature and more concrete downtown with its skyscrapers and buildings and all?

I wanna go to a city that has a good balance of the two. Like you can escape the congested downtown but also leave the more natural parks and neighborhoods to go back to downtown.

Cleveland is known as Forest City because there are so many trees (they literally grow like weeds here). That plus the lake front, river, and Metroparks in the city make for a nice blend of nature and industry/concrete.

Cleveland is surrounded by trees and forests. The OP is looking for an integration of city and green space. Cleveland by no means has a green downtown.

Downtown Minneapolis is full of green space, however.

Houston's downtown is not congested but the area is really green:

^^ I always see that same angle of downtown houston on here (a lot of your shots are from seemingly the same place). Where is everybody taking these photos from? Is there some sort of skydeck restaurant or something?

Honestly: LA is way up there.

The Santa Monica Mountains slicing right through the heart of LA is very remarkable. You can go from the hustle and bustle of Hollywood and in a few minutes be in Runyon Canyon or Griffith park.

You also have so more real wilderness in the San Gabriel mountains (drive along the Angeles crest freeway) near Glendale/Burbank/Pasadena).

Because of steep protected mountains and canyons, the LA area has more nature, and is also more densely populated in the flatlands than people realize.
