Hey, they(bloggers) can make Memphis and Nashville look as impressive as much as they want. Trust me, Philly ain't all that. It's just a blue collar and rough city with an attitude. The downtown is just average and nothing better than LA, Minneapolis and even Cincinnati.
cpomp, no, you're amusing me since you guys make Philadelphia out to be this downtown paradise or this world class city when I don't see it this way, nor do the rest of Philadelphians or Philaphians. Most Philaphians are down on their city and its downtown. Philly is one unhappy city and polluted city with very high homicide rate. Don't get it wrong because I actually like Philadelphia and trying to convince the locals that this city is alright. You got cheap living in S. and W. Philly with several train stops away from downtown or Center City. I tried to convince some of its residents to go downtown and make the best of it, even though it's not best downtown, but it's not the worst either.

Personally I like all of them a lot(New York, Washington DC, Boston, and Philadelphia) with the exception of Baltimore. I dislike Baltimore for the most part.
But out of them all I do like New York City the most, then Washington DC, then Boston, then Philadelphia but I like all 4 of them a lot!
