You can run heavy rail at grade. Chicago does it for some lines.

I didn't know it was seriously planned before recent. Seems like this would have been better. How is the Main street line doing? Whenever I drive beside it it's rather empty. Seems event orientated, does it serve TMC well enough? Do employees/students/patients use that line?

It does exceedingly well in the med center because parking there is hell, so most people usually park near the Smithlands Station and take the train up to the med center. It is packed like sardines in a can during rush hour

I was impressed by TMC the first time I was there, its a city within a city. Without TMC, do you think that line would do well with just Reliant and Mid-town? How many use the rail during Texans games, not other events held there.

True. TMC is probably where the rail gets the bulk of its ridership.

It would be dead without TMC
