There are tons of hillybilly/redneck towns in U.S (and Canada too.). They are all scary IMO

Driving through on the eerie, twisted roads up in the mountains in Maggie Valley, North Carolina was pretty freaky.

Hot Springs, NC was a bit of a culture shock for me and my two friends when we decided to go camping up there. I remember the cashier at the drugstore was excited about getting a DVD/game section soon. Also, our cell phones didn't work. It was an interesting experience... but we shortened our trip from two nights to just one!

Ok I live in West Virginia, in a very small town called Richwood. We are in Nichloas County which is right beside Greenbrier County were the movie Wrong Turn 3 was supposed to be based on. There are not crazy people here. There are good people here. We may not live in New York or California or some big city, but that doesn't mean we are wierd people who are not mainstream with America. We "hicks" probably know twice as more than you city people, because around here it's hard to get anywhere with out learning to the best of peoples ability's. We may talk hickish and say things different than you but at least we know our neighbors and can trust people around us. not all people but most. it is better to gro up in a small town and know everyone than a big city and no noone. So no were not all imbred and no we are crazy people who are going to shoot u. yea we may be rednecks, but do you see people skrewing with us??? Being raised here has probably the best thing in the would and to thoes gay movies that a 10 year old could've directed better they sucked!

Grammar aside -- you're just contributing to the notion with statements like the one above.

I find that the crazy gun-toters tend to live in the Appalachians of the north where nobody expects them. Pennsylvania, New York, New Hampshire...
