Thanks so much Bigcitydreamer for completely proving everything I said in my post before about you and just making yourself show again how ignorant and narrow minded you are with how you view different places.

There are plenty of great cities and countries in the world so you have no right to tell other people what they should like and how much they can like it.

I feel so sorry for your ignorance and narrow minded mentality. You probably feel very empty in your life so I hope you wise up one day soon.

It is like Bigcitydreamer and KONY try to get all of their self-esteem by the status of particular cities and how they feel about certain cities and then shove down their ignorance and over the top opinions to everybody else and try to make everyone else overly narrow minded with how they view different places.

I think NYC is cool, but I don't know if I'd live there again. Seattlites have voiced opposition to the "Manhattanization" of the downtown corridor quite vocally, so I don't think that's necessarily true.

A lot of people in NYC think it's the truth, but it's really not.

Seattle is one of several US regional centers. New York is five and a half times larger than Seattle in population alone. This is about the same population ratio as London to Leeds in the UK or Toronto to Edmonton in Canada. Or, closer to home: Seattle to Boise.

Right. Seattle is a very nice place, Ive been and have respect for this city and enjoyed it. Like this individual says however, a subjective comparison is not accurate or possible and that is what had me confused.

Are you actually suggesting that scenery and weather are something other than subjective? Seriously?

Edit- read this wrong (we agree)

Actually yes, I think they are

Some people prefer 4 seasons, some do not, Some like heat some do not. Some like snow, some do not, weather is absolutely subjective

On Scenery some may like mountians, others beaches etc. NY albeit a truncated season has far more a beach culture than would Seattle, whereas hiking may be more prominent in Seattle and the scenery that ffords this important to the individual. SOCAL is the unique one in that it affords nearly all the aspects moreso than any other

I agree, its not as if NY is a flat land trapped location either. The mountains in the suburbs are some of the best places in the U.S. and the beaches have variety of quiet and pleasant to bustling and arcade designed IMO.

NY gets overlooked for natural beauty IMO
