How do these 3 very different, but still similar cities lying along the Mississippi River and I-55 corridor compare/contrast? Which city comes out on top in the following categories in your opinion?

Architecture
Attractions
Culture
Economy
Education
Family
Food
History
Nightlife
Riverfront
Scenery
Shopping
Transit
Weather

Also I'd have probably dropped the I55 requirement and added Minneapolis-St. Paul, but that's just me.

Minneapolis-St. Paul takes the cake on shopping, economy, and scenery.

Beautiful city....i just don't like the snobby feel from your Edina types. Its not just in Edina though...i get that feeling everywhere.

In my own defense, I'm not even from here originally, but I love that listing my location gets people's goats. ha.

I agree with you anyway about people here tending to come off as cold or snobbish. There are piles of threads on the subject in the Minnesota forums.

Architecture-for me it's a toss-up between New Orleans and St. Louis

Attractions- St. Louis for all the free attractions there are

Culture-New Orleans

Economy-Don't know

Education-Slight edge to St. Louis

Family-All have family

Food-New Orleans

History-All three

Nightlife-Never experienced nightlife in New Orleans and Memphis won't comment

Riverfront- toss up between New Orleans and Memphis

Scenery-Memphis

Shopping-all about the same

Transit-St. Louis

Weather- St. Louis (because I live here and I like four distinct seasons)
