I thought you would say St. Augustine.

haha no, but St. Augustine is nice with the glass bottom boats, if you are a history buff it is a must see. But not so much a weekend getaway.

There are no glass bottom boats in St. Augustine. Do you mean Silver Springs in Ocala?

I understand what you are saying GRAPICO but is it possible that what you perceive as "over-hype" for Savannah is instead just making up for lost time? It was always an amazing city with great architecture, history, etc. but wasn't really discovered outside the SE region until "Midnight in the Garden" put it on the map. And it is worth noting that the people who promote and sell this city downplay both the "Midnight" and Paula Deen links. In fact, Miss Deen is pretty much reviled locally. But if it gets people here once, so they discover all the city has to offer, and keeps them coming back, that's a good thing. And it's working: Savannah welcomed a record 11 million tourists in 2010. Charleston, on the other hand, only had about 4.5 million. Call it "hype" but people seem to love this place.

^Can you post the link of where you got those numbers from? I want to know how many people visited St. Augustine in 2010.

The architecture of NOLA is "very one dimensional"? That's a first.
