Frankly, I don't know what other CDers like, but the only place I could pick here is my home: San Francisco. I eliminated all the other cities for various personal reasons.

I voted for every city on the list except for Orlando, Denver, San Jose and New Orleans. I am simply unsure of Denver and San Jose (especially San Jose), although Colorado looks like a cool place to live. Orlando and New Orleans are great tourist cities but not sure if most other City-Daters would want to live there. However, in RL, the Orlando area is actually pretty popular right now.

I voted for Boston. It has a big cultural scene, loads of history, great architecture, a lower unemployment rate and quality infrastructure/transit without the overall decay and grime of some other east coast cities (Philly).

I voted for Boston as well for the same reasons adding good food. I'm a seafood nut though.

By CD standards, anything dense, urban, and liberal.

San Jose hands down since it has the best weather, second best transportation system according to Brooking Inst., best downtown and fantastic food like Original Joes and Henry Hi Life. The city is the safest and cleanest in the country, also one of the greenest, too

San Jose is also the 3rd most fun city according to Cranium. The last survey puts San Jose 6th most fun city. San Jose has best prospect and one of the best economy in the country, thanks to Apple, Google, Ebay and Face Book. Where else is good as San Jose. If you want a real downtown, good neighborhoods, good economy, great weather, good scenery and etc. come to San Jose. Caution: It's the most expensive and the richest city in the country with 10th most pretty girls in U.S..

I've lived in NYC for most of my life, and prefer smaller towns. I'd like to live in San Diego's North County. Hopefully California will have it's act together by the time I retire.
