Shanghai vs. Guangzhou
So, which city is the best? Shanghai or Guangzhou?
What I'm mostly interested in are how the girls look on average, ease of picking them up, weather, cost of living and work opportunities.
Also things to do for fun and opportunities of seeing shows, concerts etc.
You can of course write your own pro's and con's outside of these subjects.
I am moving there in 2-3 months and would need some input on where to stay, as I'm at the moment very unsure.

Guangzhou doesn't get the frigid winters that Shanghai does and it's right beside Hong Kong and Shenzhen!

guangzhou is better for girls IMO. close to dongguan which is has some epic KTV's filled w/ stunners. all of the PRD region cities are good when it comes to getting laid.

My sentiments exactly. Being close to Hong Kong is definitely a good thing.

Thanks, you're inputs are all highly appreciated!
But there has to be more differences except the weather conditions and closeness to other cities.
For instance, which city is more 24/7 friendly? And which town is more booming/dense/thick/massive?
From looking at pictures Guangzhou looks like a ghost town full of empty streets and constructions, is the whole city like that or are there any big streets with lots of happenings?
Also, any cultural differences between the people living in these cities?
Like manners and behaviors.

Ahhhh I hate when people say crazy things about the weather. Please remember not everyone lives down south, and we have dramatically different ideas about what is "frigid" based on our where we live. The OP is from Sweden, I don't think the 46 degree high in January (coldest month) in Shanghai is going to get to him.
