Miami is actually doing very well in that regard (for the US).... LA is much larger as it annexed its suburbs so this might have something to do with it - but it might not. Either way gotta say Miami is better in this regard (Side note: LA is above Seattle)
As much as the movie sucks, and as much as I despise Colin Farrell, I do think this scene is really cool. I'm in love with the idea of flying over waves on the way to Cuba with a hot chick's hair just blowing all around.
Does anyone know if you need a license to drive a speedboat? And what are the odds I'd get stopped by the Coast Guard if I tried to go to Cuba? And what are the odds I'd be arrested and imprisoned once I reached Cuba?
Try Lincoln Road in South Beach any night of the of the week. It's wall to wall people.
Raymond was barking like a wild dog for the last two days, but I think people are finally coming to their senses. Fellas, there is really nothing in LA that comes even close to South Beach. My question is: Why? A 12-18 million metro, with nice climate, glamor, hot babes, and a beach, but not a single stretch of urbanity that will really impress you.
To think that no place in L.A. "comes close" to South Beach is too stupid a thought to be posted on the Internet. I don't see anyone agreeing with that except maybe Bajan. I love how this clown dismissed the Venice Boardwalk (which is merely a mile long btw). Thats pretty much all he does when hes proven wrong. As for Miami's part time residents, L.A. gets a lot of part-time residents in its tourist neighborhoods, since it, you know, draws more visitors than Miami?
Btw, munchitup lives a tract that clocks in at around 50-60,000 psm, in Hollywood. Got any sense tracts like that in Miami? No.

I like Venice Beach but of course it has lots of people. It's a frickin pedestrian-only boardwalk! Even the Hollywood (FL) Boardwalk gets packed on weekends and holidays. It's a boardwalk!
By that line of thinking why don't you impress us by showing the crowds in Disneyland?
Oh why am I wasting any time on you...
